The 6th Vessel of this Year! The MR Product Oil/Chemical Tanker "VENUS 3" Built by Jinglu Shipyard Successfully Delivered
On May 12, 2025, the naming and delivery ceremony for the product oil/chemical tanker "VENUS 3", built by Jinglu Shipyard for Tianjin Yongning Leasing Co., Ltd., was held. This vessel is the sixth vessel delivered by Jinglu Shipyard this year.
The vessel's godmother, Ms. Wang Xiaoli, named the "VENUS 3" and christened it with champagne, wishing it would create wealth for the owner and bring glory to the builder. She also wished for a bright future and smooth sailing for the vessel!
The "VENUS 3" is a new generation MR product oil/chemical tanker, with a length of 183.3 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters, and a designed draft of 11.0 meters. The vessel is equipped with 20 cargo holds, making it the most advanced vessel of its kind in the international market.
It is capable of transporting 20 different types of cargo simultaneously, including highly corrosive goods such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. MR product oil/chemical tankers are vessels with high technical requirements and specific craftsmanship standards. They not only meet the environmental regulations set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) but also feature advanced intelligent systems, showcasing the innovative power of the current shipping industry.
It is worth mentioning that the delivery of this vessel is 172 days ahead of the contracted delivery date, a result of the collective efforts of all parties involved in the project, including the ship owner, classification society, and the employees of Jinglu Shipyard.
